Semi-auto, and when it's worth it

A semi-auto PCP buys you the follow-up shot. On hogs or a jumpy group of pests that's the whole argument, because the second target is usually gone by the time you've worked a bolt. The cost is air, since every cycle spends some of it running the action instead of pushing the slug.

Most of what's here runs on hot-swap cylinders. The T30 in .30 and the T9 in .357 or 9mm both use a 250cc tank you can pull and replace in the field. The T-50 Extreme is the heavy one at 7000 PSI in .495, and the AEA SF is select-fire in three lengths.

Worth being honest about the trade. A bolt gun in the same caliber will usually group tighter and give you more shots per fill, so if you shoot paper or take one careful shot at a time, that's the better buy. Semi-auto earns its keep when volume matters more than the last quarter inch.
