    Northtac Ronin P11

Very fast shipping (ordered from Amazon because I had a Gift Card) . Got the P11 and it's been great. I set it to go off after 1 hour of inactivity. As soon as I pick it up it's on. Zeroed with .223 55 grain at 36 yards. Only had to move it 2 clicks to the right. 8" groups out to 300. Only shot 280 rounds so far and it's held zero. Shot on a bright sunny day and had no problem seeing the red dot. I'm very happy with it.

This is a sturdy, extremely well designed, high quality red dot. I especially appreciate the flash kill, ability to program time before shut-down, and the one-piece billet design. The fact the turrets are protected by the body of the red dot is a bonus, which will prevent snags and potential damage.

    Ronin P11

Posted by Erik in AZ update on Dec 15th 2019

Update: After owning the Ronin P11 for six months and firing a few thousand rounds with no shift in zero, I can confirm this is still the best red dot in the $100-$200 price range. Heck, it has features some red dots don’t come with at $200, like the flash kill and motion activation. You can even set how long it will remain on before automatically powering down. Replacing my AT3 and Sig red dots with more of these. I love the low profile turrets and the one-piece billet construction, and there is no going wrong with a lifetime warranty.

    Second one works as advertised

Good scope. Red dot is steady, crisp and clear across the illumination range.
The turrets work well with a screwdriver, not so well with the tiny tabs on top of the caps. The caps are aluminum and the turret shafts are steel. Not a good combination for a long life of the tiny aluminum tabs. There are no numbers on the turrets except what is printed on the tiny labels inside the caps. They're really no connection at all with the turrets.
You can count clicks to estimate desired impact point fairly accurately without numbers. Also no zero-set. Just very basic stuff.
Scope got thru 15 rounds of 300AAC solidly mounted, so the flimsy-looking mount works okay.
Turrets are surprisingly crude, but I can still recommend the scope.

    One of the best

Posted by Erik in AZ on Oct 10th 2019

The Northtac Ronin P11 is the best red dot I have ever owned or used, and hands down one of the best available, especially at under $100. This 2 MOA Red Dot has motion activation, a flash kill, a 50,000 hr battery life, shock and water resistance, and a one-piece billet construction with super low profile elevation and windage turrets to protect them from damage, the caps of which contain adjustment tools. Watch the water bottle video to see how much abuse it will shrug off and keep a zero throughout. Much better than the Sig Romeo 5 or the AT3 tactical red dots, which have only some of its features and cost more. Get one!

Excellent optic for the price! Far better than most in its class.

Posted by Garrett R. on Oct 10th 2019

I recently received the P11 in the mail and promptly did my look over. It came in a nice hard case with manual, killflash, cleaning wipe and a battery. The outward quality of the optic actually blew me away when I held it. For being a lower-mid tier priced optic, I was expecting a standard cheap fit and finish, but instead the P11 had the nice dark black-grey anodizing that is seen on the more expensive optics out there. It was very smooth and well done, and the optic feels like its built like a tank.
Once I placed the battery into it, it came on instantly with a nice and crisp red dot. (The motion sensor turned it on immediately, and I discovered that it can be changed to a button on/off style for those who may not want the motion sensor). I quickly mounted it to my rifle and tightened it down, being very happy that it was nice and rigid with no movement. After zeroing it in, I gave the optic a few hard strikes with the palm of my hand to either side and then shot again with no shift of zero (to simulate dropping it without actually dropping it). I also removed the optic entirely and then remounted it back to the same slot, and once again it retained zero.
In short, though I may not have had the Ronin P11 for very very long, so far it seems like it can give the more expensive optics out there a heavy run for its money. It's built like a tank, has a very nice anodizing finish, holds zero very well and has an unconditional lifetime warranty. Thank you Northtac for providing a very nice optic, and I will be doing business again!
